The Legislative Listening Tour
Democratic legislators want to hear from you on the direction the state is heading, and what matters most to you. Please join us!
After a brief intro from the legislators, the rest of the time is spent hearing from the public about their concerns, their ideas, questions, feedback. Listeners will be Senate Democratic Leader Pat Flowers, House Democratic Leader Kim Abbott, and State Representative Mary Caferro, as well as the Flathead’s own Dave Fern. The LLT has already had successful stops in Miles City, Red Lodge, Laurel, Fort Peck, Belgrade, Lewistown and Great Falls. This will be an exciting opportunity to meet these dynamic legislators and to make your voice heard and have your concerns brought to light.

Columbia Falls Area Democrats Meeting
The Columbia Falls Area Democrats will be meeting at Meadow Lake Resort Fireside Room (next to the bar and grill). Come early at 6:00 pm to enjoy a great meal and drinks at the bar and grill. Meeting starts promptly at 6:30 pm. On the agenda:
- Updates on the local candidates—progress reports on any candidates present at the meeting and those who have recently filed in our area!
- Presentation by Lynn Stanley of the current local voting districts including the precincts.
- Presentation by Shirley Folkwein, Upper Flathead Neighborhood Association, on the status on the petition asking the EPA to not move forward with the proposed plan for the aluminum plant's Superfund Site cleanup plan, in favor of moving contaminated waste to an approved designated site in Oregon. We already have over 10,000 signatures and several conservation groups are involved.
- Update on Flathead Democrats Adopt-a-Highway area clean-up. We need volunteers to help with the clean-up effort at the intersection of Highway 40 and Lasalle Road April 21! Meet at Murdocks, time to be announced.
- Update on the contaminated water wells in the Flathead area reported by the EPA.

Flathead Democrats Central Committee Meeting
Join us for our monthly meeting to get the latest on what is happening with the Flathead Democrats. Learn about upcoming events, get a recap on local candidates, hear about opportunities to volunteer, find out about issues critical to the Flathead, and more.
This month's Central Committee meeting will be an online Zoom meeting. To access the meeting via Zoom:
